UCLA Pediatric Surgeons are devoted to the surgical care of infants and children with birth defects and acquired illnesses. Working closely with primary care pediatricians, 家庭医生, and pediatric specialists, UCLA pediatric surgeons treat a wide variety of clinical problems in neonatology, 胃肠病学, 肿瘤学, 肾脏学, non-cardiac thoracic surgery, and several other specialty areas. The faculty also provide pediatric surgical support for the Pediatric Trauma Center at the UCLA Mattel Children's Hospital. UCLA Mattel Children's Hospital is a busy regional and international referral center for critically ill infants and children who require our pediatric surgical care with state-of-the-art facilities, including the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) as well as extensive array of pediatric subspecialitists available. 在任何时候, the pediatric surgical patients are treated by personnel dedicated to the care of children. The private hospital rooms are designed such that parents can stay with their child in comfort while in the hospital.
